Not to derail the thread here, but I was talking to a friend who was in intel in Afghanistan and he said this is completely ingrained into the culture there. It's essentially a right of passage. They would capture guys and download info from their cellphones and find tons of pics of naked little boys or dudes banging kids. It's pretty f-ed up.

I didn't know that he was set to go to the Olympics in 1980. Really weird how things played out for him.
I think there is more to the "creeper" story as the girls aren't talking and the father hasn't been asked yet. Somehow they knew him and his back story. Since it was only 2 years after his son was captured I could give him a pass at being confused over any conversations he had with one of the twins.
