There are two of them actually. First here is the official one: LINK
Then here's a fanmade one, since apparently 3 of the episodes were leaked, but entirely in Spanish: LINK
So haven't watched the leaked episodes so here are some thoughts.
First off, how the hell are the Dai Li still around? You would think that quite literally the first thing Aang would do after crowning Zuko would be to go after the Dai Li, and have them tried and executed/life imprisonment. The Fire Nation soldiers at least had superior orders and were for the most part more or less punch clock villains; they get the benefit of the doubt and going after them would incite rebellion against Aang and Zuko. The Dai Li don't the the same benefit of the doubt. They are despised by literally everyone, and they weren't following orders and were merely treacherous and murderous assholes. They murdered, lobotomized, and brainwashed anyone who even slightly stood against their ideals, they betrayed their employer as well as King, and they put the Earth Kingdom on a downward spiral which resulted in their apparent loss in the war. Their rap sheet is worse than Hitler's SS (at least they were loyal to him), and it's as preposterous that they're around now as it is that the SS would still be alive and well in this day and age.
Secondly, it seems as if Harmonic Convergeance caused a rebirth in airbenders. Looking forward to this and it certainly provides a lot of plot and conflict to the story.
Thirdly, I like what I'm seeing of the antagonists this season. Combustion Woman (who I bet is Azula's daughter), an armless waterbender, a lava bender, and a dark airbender (well overdue although I understand why they couldn't do it before now) look like a formidable force to take on Korra.
And Zuko's back as well!
Don't know where they're taking the series, but they claim it's their best season of either series. Hopefully they pull it off.

The Dai Li as a group were a worthy creation. Aang probably sympathized given that he learned Avatar Kyoshi founded them. I doubt there was unilateral defection. I mean, at the very least one wasn't ever fully on board. No reason for them to disband entire group. Aang probably suggested to just punish the actual members who turned on the EK.
It's possible HC resulted in more spirits to grant people bending. But I think this season we'll find out there the other sky bison came from. Appa was the only one we ever saw, yet now there are plenty. Had to be hiding somewhere. And someone was probably raising them in secret.
Azula's daughter? That'd raise a host of questions. Ones I welcome. Though I'm hoping he's related to Combustion Man only. But given that Zuko is still alive and kicking, you never know.
And more than an evil Airbender or whatever, lavabending? Thought only an Avatar could manage that. Wonder what HC has changed. Maybe it's made people more powerful? Already seen that the power of the Avatar can be replicated by a spirit powerful enough, like Vaatu did. I doubt he and Raava were the only great spirits kicking around.
I'm avoiding the leaked episodes like the plague. Me of about 6 or 8 years ago wouldn't have been able to wait. But I've mellowed so much since then.

I really need to sit down and finish up season 2, but at this point I guess I should just binge watch the whole season in a run. I just don't care for Korra as the avatar. I get that it would be hard to start with another Avatar because you would lose a lot of your original characters at this point and it would be tough having no references.

They were not a worthy creation. They did nothing of positive value for the Earth Kingdom, at least since Sozin's Comet. They waited and see who would kill who with Azula and Long Feng. They took over Ba Sing Se and largely kept the Earth Kingdom's army out of the war. The Dai Li saw the war as a benefit to them, since people thousands of miles away were difficult to oversee, but when they were coming to their "impenetrable city" (which is what Ba Sing Se means literally translated), they saw it as their way of spreading their power, fear, and ideology. The Dai Li should have absolutely been dissolved and the vast majority of their members executed or imprisoned on oil rigs. They are without question the single worst organization within the universe and could only serve to bite the next Avatar in the arse. You may as well be making an argument that teacher's unions should still be around, despite the fact that the only thing they want is power and they're destroying education.
Seriously, after the ridiculous amount of lobotomizing, you still think they deserve to be around? Name one reason why Aang should have kept these people around.

Lava is earth, so I don't see why an earthbender couldn't bend it.

She gets better. They just made a massive mistake of giving Korra her bending back at the end of Season 1. They should have kept it from her for a significant portion of the second season, and her actions would be very understandable. Being a fully realized Avatar makes them not understandable and just pisses you off.

I hated the end of season 2. Korra sucks and pretty has undone all the previous work of all the previous Avatars. They dropped the ball on the ending.
However, the Wan episodes are some of the best Avatar episodes out of either series

I'm not talking about those specific Dai Li agents. I'm talking about the Dai Li as an organization. Long Feng turned them into what they became. And those people would be locked up and banished or whatever. But Avatar Kyoshi created them, trained them because as Ba Sing Se grew, too many clashes among the various peoples from different parts of the Earth Kingdom would spring up. So she wanted there to be a mediator/police force to keep the peace. I'm sure there was a population explosion after the war. They'd still need police. Why not use the same group?
And if Aang could not kill Ozai, he's pussy enough to forgive the Dai Li.
And about lava. I agree that a earthbender should be able to manage it. But not every person seems to be able to bend lightning, though anyone seems to be able to redirect it. Could be a simple matter of innate talent and raw power. Same as with bloodbending.

Give me a refresh on the ending of last season.
evil and good spirit had been fighting for years.
Korra lets evil spirit out and fricks up the world
becomes super huge and engulfed by good spirit and fights off evil and wins
loses all contact with past avatars and their spirits and has basically restarted the whole avatar line (or is she the last one now??)
any of this sound right? lol

OP is tl;dr.
Really looking forward to this though. Damn if this isn't the coolest animated show around these days.

Its irrelevant on what they were founded to do. They went way, way outside their boundaries and became corrupt to their core. You can't make any real use of a horribly corrupt organization like that except to do horribly corrupt things. It is in their very nature now, and they can not be truly controlled. They are solely in it for power.
If the CIA was found out to have taken over the nation, was found out, and then sold us off to the Russians to the point of where our entire government was basically obliterated, do you think they'd reinstate the CIA once the US got back into power? No, they wouldn't. They would try every single member of the CIA, and if found guilty, execute or imprison them for life. Sure, they may have formed some other intelligence agency, but they'd completely build it from the ground up and have significantly higher regulations on that succeeding organization. No way the Dai Li functioning in the same way under the same name would have been around.

Maybe not kill the Dai Li, but he wouldn't forgive them. Their crimes were on level with Ozai's, no way he wouldn't want to see them imprisoned.

Yeah, I agree. It is just one guy who can really do it.

We're saying the same thing, I think. Just in different ways.
That CIA scenario is pretty much exactly what I'm saying. Punish the individuals responsible, but keep the uniforms and the name with brand new people running it with more transparency and regulations.
Same name, different faces. Maybe even make the new Dai Li a branch of the EK military like Seal Team Six.
Besides, Dai Li are too awesome for Mike and Bryan to get rid of. They just have a great design with the gasa hats, the earth gloves and boots?. So any reason to see them in action is a huge plus.
And given we see a relative of Chief Bei Fong, we might be finding out who her father was. Or at least get a name.

So, the first 3 episodes air tonight at 7:00/6:00c. The leaked episodes have gotten positive reviews from what I'm hearing, and the villains this season are supposed to be awesome.
Posted on 6/27/14 at 6:29 pm to PsychTiger
This villain is pretty great. Just as good of an intro as Azula had.

You know where they are online? Gonna miss em tonight

Pretty solid start to the season. Really like the direction they're taking the series and am really liking the villains, especially since I see that there is no way most of the White Lotus survived their battles with them. I feel sure that these guys killed Aang, and that the airbending guy was a disciple of his, and the firebender is either Zuko or Azula's daughter (seriously, they're basically Targaryens, to where it's a flip of the coin: one side greatness, the other side madness). But the villain I think had even a better intro than Azula did.
Like how the Earth Queen is a count and the Dai Li are back (seriously, how did Aang not destroy this organization?) Korra really seems to have matured as a character, and would have flipped her shite and fought if these tasks were brought to her this time last season.
As far as a review is concerned, don't know what else to really say, except I'm excited about the season.

And I'm Team Korsami all the way. Would be awesome if they ended this series in the same way they ended the last with that.

Solid first episodes. The long time between seasons really seems to help them put out a solid product.
