Never married here (I don't plan on it either)
but why does divorce cost so much?
I mean maybe if to parties hate each other and want to stick it to the other, but even amicable divorces can cost a lot of money....
Sell everything and split the profits evenly...

When I got divorced my ex and I didn't have much and we were young. So it wasn't expensive. The guy she was fricking on the side was a lawyer so he took care if all the paperwork for free. I thought that was nice if him

What is the going rate for a divorce these days? I have always heard that marriage is grand, but divorce is a hundred grand.

even divorce lawyers shouldn't cost that much, it is like many drag it out as long as possible to make as much as possible (which I'm sure happens)
friend is getting divorced and he told me how much he spent already, I was shocked.... they have 1 kid 4 years old and he was going to start public school. Now that the divorce is happening the mom wants him to pay for private school
