You know, when you make a post that calls somebody out, I'd advise you to at least appear intelligent.

My reply really isn't relevant anymore. At first there were no replies and the OP had one up vote.

It's hard to get over because this year was really shaping up for us to win it all.

McCune was lucky to get out the 7th with a bunt double play. 8th inning should have been committee and if needed Broussard.. Even without hindsight McCune was left in far too long.. Managing cost us that game and a NT.. but I still love the Tigers. I just feel awful for Nola most of all.

Doesn't matter Texas would have beat LSU in Super's anyway.

Steve Maneri, tight end for the buccaneers. All his fault, no doubt

Because he's the most talented guy on the team? Really? He's the one you should feel least sorry for. How about McCune? he's not blessed with NOLA's talent but probably has just as much ambition, and he surely will be haunted by that outcome.

I sure don't understand that logic either. Not in a game to go to Omaha!
I love LSU, the programs, etc...I'm no negatiger, I'm a realist. I love when we win, and hurt when we lose. Especially in sports when a coaches decision is obviously one a high school assistant wouldn't make.
At schools like LSU, we get held ransom by these guys and their agents for top money. We pay it. And we give them facilities to help them in all aspects of their jobs.
PM fricked up that day. He costs every player and booster a chance to achieve the goal of champions. He should be embarrassed and at minimum, write an apology to the LSU nation.

Even if mcune gets out of that jam, it was moronic to leave him in with Omaha on the line. You HAVEto kill that rally. The only way or best way is with your go to closer!

I believe this is the sticking point for so many people. I don't know if we would have won it all or not, no one does, but we should have been playing this past weekend.

The Saturday night loss to Houston is one that will linger with LSU baseball fans for a while.
