So is EA quietly trying to raise game prices $10 or are all next gen games $70?

Just logging into Origin to sign up for the BF Hardline Beta and I noticed all the games they announced today are $69.99 on pre-order.

I don't buy hard copies and the only game I paid full price for recently was Mario Kart 8 (worth it IMO) so is this the standard on all new games or is it just EA trying to slowly push prices up?

Last game I bought was 64.99 after tax, so looks like you're on to something.

When you go to purchase it defaults to the deluxe with Standard as an option.

What can they really put into the game to make you spend $10 more?

I hate when companies do that and I also hate when a game has 100 different pre order bonuses depending on where you buy it from.

Tax?

PC Gamers do not pay "tax".

I'm not forced to play games with you?

eta: I can see where it can be interpreted that I'd rather pay tax than not.
