Let me start this off by saying I've never seen any of the TV show and I'm only watching the movie because I had a free redbox coupon and my wife insisted. Anyways, it's disgusting they 100% ripped of Mass Effect background music, lighting, and mood themes. Come on atleast disguise it a little bit.

ME seemed to have a pretty standard sci fi look IMO.
also, the guy that did the music also did it for the TV show. The show ran from 04-07.
Mass Effect came out in 2007.
So... odds are the ME composer stole from the VM composer brah.

I never watched Veronica Mars, and I haven't seen the movie. I don't know anything about Mass Effect.
I'm happy to have contributed.
ETA: I see that ME is a video game. Figures. My mother's basement was always used to store things so I didn't spend any time there.

I watched Veronica in Stuck in Love this weekend and too bad she didn't show anything because she is so hot. Greg Kinnear was one lucky devil while shooting that move. Had both Kristen Bell and Jennifer Connelly. I need his agent.

I have been playing mass effect this week and at no point did anything in it remind me of or seem remotely similar to Veronica Mars. Most of the visuals and soundtrack reflected back to the TV show so if you noticed anything the causal relationship is probably the inverse of what you are claiming.
