According to another thread on this. Colorado netted 46 million from alcohol last year. These numbers are very encouraging.

Eliminating available items in the black market reduces crime? Who knew?

That article is very misleading. The schools don't get that 1.9 mil. It is split between the schools and government. Also, the crime stats are from Denver only, not the entire state. It is also nice to always bring up how much money was brought in from the taxes on it without bringing up how much of that tax money is spent on things associated with legalization of weed. It is kinda like bragging that you make $100,000 at your job, but leave out that your bills are $120,000.

Id venture to say govt $$$ spent on fighting weed crime would be way more than $$$ spent on legalization & regulation.

The winning move is to use it to fund education and first responders (fire, rescue, law enforcement). Kill the it will be more expensive on the back end argument.

Possibly, but doubtful. Ask a Coloradan, weed laws have been extremely lax/unenforced there for a decade.

Good news though
