Saints sign former Jag/Pat DL Brandon Deaderick, 1 yr. contract

Originally a seventh round draft pick (247th overall) of the New England Patriots in the 2010 NFL Draft out of the University of Alabama, the Elizabethtown, Ky. native started 14 regular season games and five playoff contests along the New England defensive line over his first three seasons. In 2013, he joined the Jacksonville Jaguars and appeared in 13 games with one start as a part of their defensive line rotation and posted nine tackles (eight solo), 0.5 sack, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

We don't even work out LSU players. They just get a try out, and they don't get signed.

I actually really like the signing of Deaderick. Especially in the 3-4 where he's best suited, like someone else said, solid depth.

in 2009, someone tried to rob Brandon in Tuscaloosa one night, he refused to give up his wallet, the thief shot him in the arm and ran away. Brandon played against Virginia Tech that weekend. Tough sunuvabitch.
