Agreed. Id take Landon over Altidore any day. Altidore shouldn't even be on this team.

It's killing my excitement for World Cup knowing we don't have our best team.

What in the frick does Landon Donovan have to do with our left back problem?

Are you serious? If you're serious, you are genuinely among the most stupid to ever grace the board, and that is quite an accomplishment. Congratulations.

Donovan and Altidore are so similar? I must be missing be something.

However, there is literally no question that Donovan could do more for us than Davis, Green, Zusi, Bedoya, etc. The fact that Jurgen seems him as a forward only is garbage. There is no doubt that he would make a huge positive impact on the sides of the diamond.

Well, Donovan would have come back to help quicker than Davis so the first half gaffes wouldn't have been as bad. It's not that Davis is lazy but rather very slow.

Altidore was an 8/10 today so I certainly don't get criticizing him.

After watching Clint not give a frick, I would be very interesting in seeing (in a hypothetical world) Jozy up front with Landon behind him as a second striker.

I usually stay out of all Donovan threads now, but I wanted to pop in and say that LD would've probably given more effort than a few starters out there today.

Now, no one knows for sure if he would've done "better", but...

Yup. He certainly puts in the effort and has so much confidence. I really think some of the guys could learn from that.

Well of course, but I think we all would feel much better if the sides of the diamond include him.

Would it be nice to have Donovan over some of the players that are clearly in over their head? Sure. But I don't think Donovan solves the problems we are having.

Right, this team was likely to be 4th in the group, with or without Donovan, I've said that from day one.

You don't think we're better than Ghana?
