Rooting questions (Galaxy S5) UPDATE: rooting complete

I upgraded to a Galaxy S5(Sprint) today and would like to root it. I've never done this before but this fun has a ton of pre-installed shite I want to clear off. I found a step by step video LINK but I have a few questions about rooting(I'm pretty much a functional retard when it comes to this so take it easy please )
Does rooting remove the bloatware automatically? If not then how do I do that after rooting?
What are the other advantages of rooting?
Things I should do after rooting?
Things I should be sure not to do?
TIA

Rooting gives you a higher level of rights to do things with your phone. There are some apps that require root access to run. Rooting does not remove bloatware automatically. You can run apps that will "freeze" the bloatware so that it does not run. Before you uninstall or freeze any system apps (including bloatware) you should check to make sure that it is safe to do. The XDA forums is a good place to check for a phone specific thread about what system apps are safe to freeze or uninstall.

Rooting Galaxy S5 has not yet been accomplished.
I think it's just the Verizon and AT&T versions that have not been rooted.

Rooting does not remove bloatware in itself. But it certainly allows you to remove it.
Probably the easiest and safest way to remove the bloat is to flash a custom ROM that already has the bloat removed.
I know it sounds daunting now but once you are rooted flashing a ROM will be a piece of cake.
So in other words someone has already done the work of removing the bloatware safely so all you need to do is put their operating system on your S5.
The S5 XDA forum will have all you need to do this.

full access to your phone, think of it like hitting the "allow" button on an Apple or Windows computer when you are going to install something, but rooting you are basically pushing the "allow" button.

Open Garden, custom Kernal, overclock processor and memory, and much more
The biggest thing you can do is install a custom ROM, these are amazing, and will usually allow you to be an Android version ahead of everyone else with your phone, "usually". (this isn't always the case, but most of the time is) All the while you have ROMs that have completely removed the bloatware, so you are running faster, more optimized, and you are on a version higher than other people.

Go at your own pace, don't do anything you are uncomfortable with, but make sure to push past your timidness as well, it's worth it, and once you push the button you will never want to go back.

Thanks! Are those custom roms difficult to install? I'm gonna do all this Monday once my stretch at work is done.

Easy enough. Each ROM developer will have instructions on how to install their ROM. But installation is basically the same for every one.
You will install a custom recovery and flash the ROM using that. The custom recovery will also allow you to make backup images of your device. It will backup exactly how your device is setup when you create the backup. Be sure to always make a backup before flashing any ROM, kernel, baseband etc. If something goes wrong (or you don't like the ROM even) you can use the recovery to revert back to your good working backup.

So I rooted my S5 today and used busy box and samsung toolkit to create a backup image.
What the hell do I do now?
I was going to try the cryogenmod room but it's not available yet. What else can I do to get the most out of rooting? Again this is my first time doing this so the more specific the better. Thanks
