what would be a good offer on a boat with these specs.

2006 Champion Bay Boat, it is in great shape, all new batteries, new filters, engines have been completely serviced including new water pumps. It is 24 or 25 feet long with twin 175 Mercury’s counter rotation and extra low emissions. This boat rides extremely well in rough water and can also fish very shallow waters, one of the best all around fishing boats I have ever fished out of. Paid well over $70,000 for asking $40,000 OBO.

Does water come with it? If so, I'm out. God didn't give us gills for a reason.

I'd throw $30,000 out there and see what happens just based off the numbers you are giving of purchase and asking price.

A fair price with both engines in good condition is around 42 - 50K. So, it's already priced really fair. I wouldn't try to low ball that too much.
ETA: I just sold a 24' Bay Champ with a single engine, custom T-Tops for 34K. 2004 model.

I had 6 offers all in the same general area. You can get a little more for a boat that is no longer in production, haha.

How many hours are on the motors? Any Merc dealer can down load all info if one of the motors took a hit or not. Also will read at what RPM's/hours ran at. Shouldn't cost no more then $150 for both read outs and cheap insurance up front.
If that checks good, 35K to 40K is good.

Since there's mercury's on it, no more than 5 grand

I'd say offer $45,000 now and hope the guy takes it.

Not sure if you plan to pay cash or finance it, but financing could be tough given the age and the fact that Champion is no longer in business. I was looking at a Champion when I bought my boat, but the finance company would not finance a boat more than 7 years old and if it was no longer in business. Just something to think about.

with those anchors on the back, better call seatow... jk..Try 35K... just make sure those engines get tested out before dropping a dime!

Good thing it's not Yamaha back there. Best thing to do with those is scrap.
