“If we play Houston in the second game, they have seven left-handed hitters, so I don’t know if I want to put Aaron up against that,” Mainieri said
I'm still of the opinion to start Bouman vs SLU, Nola in game 2 and Poche to seal the deal!

SLU has a legit ace though don't they? Don't want to take anything for granted in the first game. Unfortunately you didn't draw a SWAC team as the 4 seed.

While I would hate it I do think Poche would beat Houston's ace.

I think I would go Bouman game 1 on a very short leash. If he gets in trouble early, then bring in Nola or Poche. I would also hate to start Nola or Poche and have to fight through rain delays.

This right here is the exact reason Nola will not start against Southeastern. You can't afford to possibly burn his start due to several weather delays.

the thing is the rain is going to be hit a miss all weekend. You could save Nola for Saturday thinking that we have a better chance getting a game in Friday goes 9 innings no delays, Saturday comes around and we have to push it back to Sunday after getting 2 innings in.
