Anyone been to Buffalo, NY?

Headed there for a trip. How is it?
I know the general backstory: former industrial boomtown that lost most of its population and fell on hard times when the factories closed and moved overseas and the railroads stopped; grey, cold, and snowy.
But I am looking for some real info from people who have actually been there. TIA.

I've been there a couple times. Try the buffalo wings. Nothing. Memorable about the town, typical city in the northeast.

As some one said before it is really nice during the summer. Niagara Falls is not far.

Buffalo is a nice city during the summer, I like going there.
Cherrios factory is right next to the highway, can smell the flavor of the day
Go see Niagara Falls if you haven't been there, there's casinos and the Maid of the Mist tour plus lots of canadians
There's a AAA baseball team that has some cheap tickets, see if they're in town
For wings, go to both Anchor Bar and Duffs to see which you like better
If you want awesome mexican fast food, go to a Mighty Taco. It's much better than Taco Bell

I think theres more casinos than in BR surprisingly. Casinos are on both sides of the falls, I've only ever been to the american ones cause I didn't have my passport
