This whole thing is a mess. Very rarely is progress made when someone is mandated to attend treatment against their will. The NFL is just trying to avoid backlash by saying they tried to make things better for the sake of p.r. At the same time, how stupid is Pouncey for not just going and avoiding a suspension? Egos.

I don't disagree but the mere fact this joker supported Hernandez shows he has some mental issues.

What bothers me is that the NFL is starting to appear like they are letting public outrage dictate their conduct policies.

No. I can't recall public outrage dictating a conduct policy for IBM or Apple.

True. And I disagree with the NFL bowing down to public outrage, but a normal company isn't dealing with a a set of employees in which a large majority has criminal records and/or are on probation.

Their board meetings aren't broadcast to millions of people every Sunday as a matter of course either though. Thereby inviting a personal vested interest in the minute by minute lives of the parties involved.

If they put it on ESPN's website every time and IBM or Apple employee got a DUI or was arrested, the companies' policies would change.

Not really. People support the people they are emotionally linked to often times regardless of what they do.

Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean they aren't pandering to the masses with their policies.
