What the hell happened to McDonald's service?

You used to able to go inside and place your order without the wait. They would hand you the order in seconds. Now you take a number and wait while they cook it. I just left the College Dr. store and all the customers are just standing around for 20 minutes waiting on their order. Total business model fail.
Now I know why their sales suck, and they are becoming Burger King.

It's fricking McDonalds in Baton Rouge. I'll never understand why people expect good service at a shite hole fast food restaurant

Long time. They used to be known for good service no matter where you are. They have changed their store operations model from what I have observed.

There was a notoriously terrible McDonald's in Philly. A bunch of Penn students started a Facebook petition, everyone boycotted, then corporate got wind and came in and cleaned house. Fired everyone.

I told them that when I quit at 16, after I got pissed that I had to drop 1 fricking burger for some lady who didn't want pickles on her 1/4 pounder......"she can take them off of one of the 12 I just made"...I could maybe understand "no mustard"....but they made me drop new for "no pickles" I couldn't stand it no more.
42 secs for me to make 12 cheeseburgers....I was a machine......all of a sudden it goes to 8 mins to make 12 individualized cheeseburgers....I felt so inefficient I couldn't take it anymore.

Manager fussing at employees to put on show. Shake machine is always broken. Place is generally filthy.

I find it hard to believe that a business with such an impressive reputation for customer service would operate in such a way. I'm calling bullshite on your story.

This totally depends on which McDonalds you go to, and where you are in the country.
Some of the slowest (and worst-run) McDonalds restaurants are in Louisiana, although there are some good ones here.
I am amazed, for the most part, when I travel get fast food in other states how much faster it is (usually).

I depends on which Micky D's you go to.. The BEST one I been to in the BR area is the one on the corner of Monterey and Greenwell springs... The service is fast and the workers are friendly....

I never eat at Mcdonalds. Their restrooms are always nasty.
