Nice area

You want high end or casual or what. Give us a little guidance, please.

Just something casual with good food and cold beer. Something other than the Chimes.

Parrain's.
Maybe Pelican house with emphasis on their beer
Rum House
Beausoliel
Louisiana Lagniappe

Or other restaurants near the Perkins rd overpass area--close to LSU but also easy access to the interstate since they'd pretty much need to get on it to go back towards the airport.

Can't really think of any decent places around their hotel...area near there gets sketchy in most directions.

I'd tend to agree. BR has a lackluster mid range dining scene unless you want to venture into hole in the wall outlying areas.

As a friend to them, you should highly recommend they look elsewhere to stay.

Roberto's is my recommendation.
