I have a crew of 4 guys from a moving company over to move our stuff from one house to another. I bought them bottled water and gatorades and I am buying them lunch. Do people normally tip movers? Or is lunch enough?

I worked as a mover one summer. Tips were appreciated, but I never expected them.
Lunch and drinks is nice though. You should be fine with that.
One guy gave us a case of beer, that was a fun afternoon

They will swarm you when it is time to pay the bill.

yes. I'd say $25 bucks a person

Had 2 guys move our stuff last summer. I tipped them $20 each. I suppose that was acceptable, considering I shelled out over $700 for them to move our stuff.

make sure you check all your window locks afterwards.

I noticed that my brother in law does. I think he gave them $20 or something. I haven't had to use any yet, so I haven't.

I do. Usually about $50 a person and I do it up front or in the early stages of the move. They tend to be much more helpful/careful.

did it for summer once as well. Was always nice but not expected. Lunch and drinks is a very nice thing to get. That alone will keep them happy.
Getting a twenty would be the cherry on top.

Half of these degenerates haven't left the po'dunk town they live in, they have no reason to tip a mover. The other half are lying shits who will say they tip because they aren't trashy.

I tip them by giving them things that I no longer want.
I had a couple of the dudes arm wrestle over a tv once.
But I also give cash since it is expected. The main mover usually asks for us to not tip on the credit card since the owner will keep it. Nice slick way to say that a tip is expected.

What about delivery guys? I typically give them a 20 spot.
ETA: Furniture, appliances, etc.

Last 2 times I used same company. They drove 200 miles to move a truck full and had to go up 3 flights of stairs in new townhouse. I thinki gave them 60$ a piece but they earned it. Maybe 40$ per for a local move

When I had a moving company move all our stuff, I tipped them. However, one time I only needed a sectional moved...paid a company $75 for 15 minutes of work. Guy actually had the balls to ask me "where my tip at mane?"...yeah, um, no.

Give em a 20 each. Yes tipping movers is a good practice unless it's the owner of his own Lil business or something
