I tried the touchscreen typing thing for a year. Ugh. I suck at it. Guess too many years of piano and then copying morse code trained me to type by feel, not by sight. I go through 200-300 emails and texts a day. Touchscreen typing wasn't cutting it. Frustration level already gone down in the last 48 hours.

Damn good phone and with the new software update, you can download the Amazon appstore app and load android apps very easily. Can even use as a real FM radio. ;-)

What phone were you using before? I know that I can type however fast I'd like, and spell-check kind of takes care of it for me.

Sadly, I did the same thing and I am paying for it. Had several BBs, went to HTC, back to BB...this Blackberry is the biggest piece of fricking shite I have ever owned. I mad.

I had the Z10 first, the touchscreen, so I was used to the way the OS works when I went back to the Q.

In NOvember they are rolling out the classic. Bigger screen, same OS, but the buttons are coming back.

I can swipe but my thumbs are too big and I'm just too used to typing by feel, not by sight.

I also liked the speed dial buttons I got back.

Which OS are you on? 10.1 or 10.2.1?

Have you ever had an iPhone? Talk to text and Siri could handle texts and emails for you.

I'd love to have the Q10 back; it was the only phone I've ever actually enjoyed using, as opposed to thinking, "oh, ok, this is a phone, seems fine."

I have no idea why people are downvoting the OP; are you angry that he likes a different brand of telephone than you do? Think about that.

Sorry baw, I use an iPhone and Q10 daily and the Q10 wins out for me. The iPhone is great for apps but sucks at productivity while the Q10 is the exact opposite. It's not a great platform for apps (even though 90% of android apps work) but it kicks arse in the productivity department.

I'm so convinced that this is a game changer, that I bought some BBRY this morning.

I've also found (there might be a better way though) a good way to get anything on Google Play on my blackberry. Just find the app on your computer, then put the web address in the APK download generator here:

LINK /

Then ask it to make a QR code for the new download address. Scan that QR code with phone, and you've got it.

I'm in a lot of hearings and meetings where I have to respond but can't speak.

King, there are better ways but for the average guy, the amazon store is the easiest. Got my netflix, pandora, tunein radio, Drudge, and some other apps through Amazon. All I really need.

There is a better way. First you can just search in your browser on your phone for the apk file. BlackBerry can install apps directly from the browser. Simply download the apk and install. An even easier way is through an app call Snap. It is a storfront for the Google Play Store that works on Blackberry.
