As someone who was born in LA but raised mostly in TX. LA wins this category by a lot IMO

Texans raid the border for our fish that should tell you all you need to know. In Sabine they have more Texas fisherman than LA fisherman

When I was still living down south it seemed like TX had better speck and flounder fishing but LA had better red fishing. And add to the red fishing that you can catch bass nearby...I give LA the win on this one.

Texas does catch bigger specs. I would have to say it is close between the two but Louisiana wins.
