Before you get up and leave. Had appointment at 330. Got here about 315. Still in the waiting room. About to leave and find another doctor.

There's not much in life I wait in line that long for. The only thing I can think of is the DMV where I don't have a choice, but I go to the express now a days.

It's been my observation that Ole Miss fans are better at waiting.

I don't wait for anything longer than 20 minutes or so unless I could at least order a drink.

Your doctor is an a-hole for leading that poor drug rep in the back on for that long.

My wife had an appt. today at 10:00am. She didn't get in until around 10:30 or so. It was her gyno doctor and there was a little talent in there so it wasnt to bad. I say start an Dr. Tardy list and the longer you wait the less his fee. If its over 30 minutes, he drops the office visit charge and so on and so on. I'll bet they would do a better job of promptness from then on.

Why are you going to the hospital for just a checkup?

I was gonna say find a new doctor, but it looks like you figured it out. Hope you don't die from whatever you were there for in the meantime.

Not really. A lot of the time the Dr. does not show up until an hour after his first appointment is booked. He wants all the rooms filled and the waiting room packed before he shows up. I deal with docs everyday and this is a common practice.

I never never accept a doctors appointment on Monday or Friday and nothing after 9am. You are asking for problems of time management if you do. To be fair they have to do what they have to do and the later their day gets the number of patients with needs just grows as the day is long.

And it's not going to get better any time soon. Too much paperwork, many more people with a "medical card" etc.

sounds great in theory, but most doctors don't show up till an hour after their first appointment is scheduled
