People say that Connors was the first NBA player to shatter a backboard. Wiki says that's misleading:

quote:
However, the first NBA player to shatter a backboard, Chuck Connors (who would become far more famous as an actor), did not do so with a dunk. When playing for the Boston Celtics in 1946, Connors took a set shot during pregame warmups, hitting the front of the rim. Because an arena worker had failed to place a protective piece between the rim and backboard, the backboard shattered.

One of the greatest trivia questions of all time: "Who was the first NBA Player to shatter a glass backboard?"

I love The Rifleman.

Just hearing the music makes me want to go out and shoot somebody.

That's because Micah, the sheriff, was basically a drunk, so he had to do the sheriff's work.

Me too. Love waking up on Saturday mornings and watching The Rifleman while drinking coffee. Just wish AMC would continue showing Westerns though out the day like they used to.
