Would be nuts to see Joerger gone after one year.

Yeah it would be bullshite. Joerger did a fantastic job in his 1st season as head coach. Firing him would be a horrible decision,

Grizz owner Robert Pera

Isn't this the dude who bought the team not that long ago, is really young, and thinks he's an awesome basketball player?

If Joerger isn't retained, I wish the Pels would go after him. But they won't.

Pretty much. Sounds similar to the Warriors situation but nobody is on Pera's side here. Levien is well respected and seems like he built the foundation of the franchise since he was hired. Hollinger has to be done.

What in the world could this be over? Has to be something big like keeping Randolph or trading Gasol.

I honestly don't know what to say.

No one here seems to know wtf is going on. They've done a tremendous job since being here.

Rumor is they wanted to remove Pera as the majority owner and replace him with the guy who just purchased our D-League affiliate.

Or:

Now bein told story is actually Levien was gonna be gone and Stu Lash (bein right hand man) gone too. Casuality of war....

rather than Lash was removed and caused an issue. The issue was Levien vs Pera and once Levien was out, Stu was out.

Bill Simmons has his own idea:

Hearing that, if the Grizz totally clean house, the Memphis owner will look to trade for Tom Thibodeau + give him an SVG/Pistons-type deal.

This is from the local paper:

quote:

1. Dave Joerger is still the head coach and will be the head coach going forward. Said Wallace: “This has nothing to do with Dave.”

2. John Hollinger, according to Wallace, “is a part of our basketball department.”

I have no idea what to think about this yet. There are so many different people reporting so many different things.

I will say that I would be cool with Wallace stepping back into the GM role and would not be happy if Joeger is gone, even if Thibodeau is named the replacement.

Do not want. He is a terrible GM imo. His draft record as GM was atrocious.

You mean you don't want to give up your first round draft picks every year for a guy that may or may not pan out?

Trade Kevin Love for OJ Mayo
Draft Hasheem Thabeet over James Harden
Sign Rudy Gay to an outrageously overpriced contract

Mike Conley is the only Chris Wallace drafted player on the roster
