Anybody else really hoping for this? Would be keen beyond words to see señor Benson honor this important portion of the community; especially since "he a good catlick" like so many of mi amigos.

Would be gold and red (obviously) for that Latin flair.

Agreed. Vietnamese is the largest non-English community here.

Aren't you supposed to be outside playing and not indoors on the computer?

No. I want a red alternate jersey that says New Orleans in English.

I agree. I hate how Spanish is becoming mainstream in America. There is just no assimilation anymore like there used to be. It's one thing to speak it at home or with other people who speak Spanish, but it's another for the established geography to have to ACCOMMODATE them as if we're doing them a favor.

What about in the 19th century when Europeans of multiple nationalities struggled to get through Ellis Island? They learned the native language of the country they were moving to! We didn't just start posting signage of all these other languages! It's the same way I would never go visit another country, and expect them to speak English. I would at least try to learn a few words to get me around THEIR native land.

im not trying to be cool, we should not be integrating a foreign language into American sports. Do you see any Mexican sports leagues integrating english into their leagues? I don't have a problem with spainish people, i have a problem with the fact they think we should have to adjust to them in our own country that speaks english

Well the NBA has a pretty good reason to do so because it helps bring in new consumers. The NBA is doing very well right now and some of that has to do with marketing globally and not just towards Americans.

Y'all are ridiculous. In every country with large populations that speak another language they do this. You go to Paris and everyone speaks English, plenty of restaurants have English on their menu, and they have signage with English on it. It's because they want to have English speaking people come there. Just like sports teams want to tap into the growing Hispanic audience.

As for the Pelicans... No. There isn't enough history or Spanish speakers in New Orleans to warrant this. Maybe in Texas.
