So you got a guy in his mid 30's that will start regressing each year, and has a HUGE contract. For 2 solid, low contract, younger guys, and a closer who probably has like B potential...especially if the team is out of the race, that's not that crazy of a trade

1. The way franchise mode works the more successful your team is the more your budget increases year to year. I will be a playoff lock and probably a World Series team so no problem there. Plus most of the cardinals's players are young and locked up for a few years so no problem there
2. I would hardly call Jon Jay a "solid" guy. And Matt Adams is unless he's facing a LHP then he's totally lost
3. Can't remember the closer's rating but his potential was "D" so nice try
4. The angels are leading their division by 3 games in my season, so they are very much in contention
If I get 2 .290+ 25 HR years out of Pujols he will have out producer anything the other 3 would've ever done for me. Course if he's awful after that I'll be saddled with his contract but I can live with that
