Let's say an atypical Non-OT Baller was out in the hot sun doing work on the weekend. We're not talking welding on a pipeline, mind you. But still. How would one prepare to dress cool and comfortable and yet buttress himself from the ravaging affects of chafing?

Corn Starch? Yes that's a given. But what about undergarments in particular? Is there anything to the Under Armour stuff? Will it actually help prevent chafing?

Or what about other homeopathic, more beta-style solutions? You know, the kind that I can laugh and demean here with the rest of the Alpha OT Baller Statuses but then secretly try out and not ever tell anyone in the hopes that it works?

I come to the OT hat in hand, asking for genuine guidance and heartfelt advice. Yes, I know I'm destined for the good ship SS Disappointment by coming here as opposed to someplace along the likes of the Outdoor Board (OB) but I thought I may actually get mo' bettah answers here. Even if there's more (humorous) crap to sift through here as opposed to there.

yes...but you don't have to go with just Under Armour brand...many others..Nike, Reebok, etc. produce the same stuff...it does help...plain out cotton drawers will tear you up son...get anything that a football or baseball player might wear....

go to academy and get some compression shorts. These work. Haven't been chafed since Freshman year of high school, thanks to them. Nike, Under Armour and the Academy brand all work the same.

For longer runs, in hotter weather, use that Glide stuff.

I use something called "chill-its" . Our safety man got it for us. Its a reusable towel that's activated by soaking in cool water. it's meant to be put around your neck and it cools good for about four hours straight until you hqve to go run it in cool water again. By keeping your neck area cool your whole body stays much cooler.

corn starch is good after the fact.

Its all about your clothing. Staying dry is key... baby powder certain spots.

Looks like you need this, OP:
(from Amazon reviewer)

Size Name: Extra Strength 10 oz
Gold Bond Extra Strength is amazing stuff. I bought it just to help with the humid summer months. My man-thingys need help during the long hot & humid days, and Gold Bond does the trick.
I usually get Regular Strength, but opted for Extra Strength this time. When I sprinkled it on Mr. Johnsonville and The Boys, look out!!! Not only does it tingle, but I'm pretty sure, if I consentrated hard enough, I could fly. Maybe even put out forest fires with my crotch. It has that much cooling.
Not sure if this is how every super hero starts (sprinkling Extra Strength Gold Bond on their "prescious"), but I'm going with the super hero moniker "Capt. Freezy-Pants".
