He has had quite a bit of success in his little amount of time as a starter imo. Do you see him as an elite qb in the league? I wasn't too impressed with him in the playoffs this past year. Do you feel he improved from season 1 to season 2 as a starter?

Not elite, no chance.

Also very underrated by the MSB. He's top 10, bottom half, probably around 10.

Reminds me of how Phillip Rivers was viewed years ago.

Kinda teetering on the edge of elite but can't break through.

True. His team helps for sure

no, but he's solid. Still don't think he's worth elite $$$ for a next contract, either.

Would i trade an elite QB like Brees/Manning/Brady/Rodgers for him?
Not a chance

Would i be unhappy if he was my starting QB?
Probably not

Would i be unhappy if he was my starting QB to go along with the niners defense?
Hell freakin no

Would i pay him 20 million a year?
Hell freakin no again

Definitely dynamic.

Maybe the most dynamic QB in the game - with huge potential upside.

But not elite. Very good. But not elite - not Top 7 but 8/9/10.

Dude can do things very few others can.

He has the potential to be elite. He didn't live up to expectations last year, but he came in with a lot of hype after the SB run. I'm excited to see what he can do this year, he was a lot of fun to watch in 2012.

This will be a deciding year for Kaep. Year 3 with more weapons than ever at his disposal.

Even with one of the best defenses in the league, and a damn good oline and run game, he isn't close to teetering on the edge of elite

And as teams learn to defend the duel threat better every year, he will decline.

FWIW:

LINK

Edit: I don't think he's elite... yet. Just thought this article was interesting and the author does acknowledge confounders.

Don't think he's elite

Elite: Rodgers, Manning, Brees, Brady (such awful WRs)

Kap has the weapons now. No more excuses. Guy has far more weapons than Cam
