And it got an R-rating the first two times they submitted it to the MPAA for review. The reason? Apparently the "death" of Agent Coulson was too violent for them.

“Batman vs. Superman” was originally scheduled for a July 17, 2015 release date, but Warner. Bros. recently announced the film would be delayed due to "the complex visual nature of the story" needing more time to develop.

damn. I thought it was a 2015 release, I guess this and Avengers 3 will be the 2016 blockbusters.

Goodness. Have they seen Lord Of The Ring ? The Hobbit ? There were beheadings and thousands of deaths.

The MPAA has always been inconsistent with the way it hands out ratings. No one regulates them, no one knows who they are, and no one knows the formula or checklist they all use to come up with a film's rating.

Those were in fictional lands with fictional characters. The Avengers shite went down in NYC. Agent Coulson is a real person (or could be in the real world).

For those who haven't seen it, This Film Is Not Yet Rated is a solid documentary on how awful the MPAA is.

I watched this again today.

It gets better every time, although the one liners get much worse.

I love the part where they talk about how movies aren't compared to each other. Meaning something rated PG-13 in one fim is rated R in another.

I believe it was mostly in reference to the South Park movie.

Well the South Park guys main point was that big studios get more leeway than small ones.

Their case in point was their small studio Orgazmo movie vs. Big studio South Park movie
