LSU Athletics:

-AD Joe Alleva speaking at BR Press Club. Says LSU athletic budget this year will be again over $100 million.

Traffic/Parking:

-Alleva: Traffic consultant worked all 2013 home games to come up with better plan for 100,000-seat Tiger Stadium this fall.

-Alleva said contraflow is part of traffic consultant plan for Tiger Stadium. Requires cooperation from law enforcement.

South Endzone Expansion:

-Alleva on Tiger Stadium expansion: It's fantastic. Tiger Stadium has always had a reputation for being loud. It's going to be louder.

-Alleva on Tiger Stadium construction: working 24 hrs a day, lot of inside work now, I feel very confident they will be ready.

-Alleva on Tiger Stadium: I don't know if we need more than 100K seats. Long term I could see reducing capacity to put in bigger seats.

Recruiting:

-Alleva calls RB Leonard Fournette most publicized signee ever at #LSU. Well, maybe the most since Kevin Faulk, but definitely up there.

LSU Baseball:

-Alleva on #LSU getting a baseball regional: You really can't buy a regional anymore. They're supposed to go to top 16 teams.

SEC Network:

-Alleva on #SEC Network: will wire all #LSU venues, could ultimately cost up to $2 million.

-Alleva: SEC Network revenue uncertain. Needed to raise ticket prices this year to balance this year's budget.

-Alleva on SEC Network negotiations: We're not involved. I (#LSU) don't have any rights anymore.

Samgate:

-Alleva asked if #LSU is prepared to handle an openly gay player: "Absolutely. If they can play they can play."

Future Developments:

-Alleva on beer sales in Tiger Stadium: Little feedback from fans, but could see in 5-10 yrs. #SEC has rule against it.

-Alleva: #LSU has architect looking at creating more restroom space from old dormitory rooms beneath the stands.

-Alleva: Land being cleared across from Alex Box Stadium is for new tennis facility. Expects to be completed by March 2015.

Long term I could see reducing capacity to put in bigger seats I LIKE THIS

Also, alcohol sales at baseball games would be fantastic. Beer is always made to be sold at baseball games.

working 24 hrs a day, lot of inside work now, I feel very confident they will be ready. WILL NEVER BE READY ON TIME

alleva: revenue for the network uncertain so we need to raise prices just in case.

year later alleva in private: we made more than we expected from the network, but the price are staying the same.

Yep. They'll never give any back or lower prices. Government is government, regardless of what you call it.

Oh, but expect a "big" donation by LSU AD to the University.

Beer sales at LSU sporting events would have the quickest most effective economic impact.
It would keep people around longer as well.

Someone's never sat in a suit before.

Nothing like a couple Rum n' cokes on a breezy spring day watching the tigers play.
