They can be gamed so easily it's ridiculous. Has anyone followed this story about the mediabridge router?

It's been posted on the OT many times what a great router this is but thanks to the questionable way this router went to the very top of Amazon's list which now appears to be due to this company falsifying reviews to it's spectacular fall thanks to one reddit user and a week long campaign to have everyone blast it.. Amazon has now dropped this company entirely from its website.

Makes you wonder if you can trust anything at amazon.

Amazon and it's failed review system.

It's a shame someone on here didn't point this out a couple weeks ago.

Just call me Nostradamus.

It's unfortunate that so many people have been taken in with this product, but I'm here to warn you: A lot of these reviews are fake. Just search Google for this company, Medialink, and you'll find almost no history and no reviews from legitimate websites.

Somewhat remedied with a little research. If you're just interested in the x/5 stars rating, then yeah, it sucks. But if you go and read the complaints in the lower section, a few from the middle, and find what you can discount in the top while reading the Amazon Verified Purchase stuff, then you can do a pretty good job of teasing out bad products.

I think the "comedy hour" regarding certain products has gone overboard and should be better monitored.

At the very least you should start ignoring the reviews completely.

This isn't a groundbreaking theory. Calm down, and go lay on your fancy sheets that have been purchased somewhere other than amazon.

Captain.. Why did I buy elsewhere again??

Why?

Oh yeah because this is another product category ruined at amazon due to their review system fail.

That was the joke part of my post.

And I thought you said they didn't sell any good sheets at all?

Also, as you ed to the other poster said to do your own research, did you so the extra research on the sheets?

Thank you. Again another product that had THOUSANDS of reviews presented as so much better than anything else it's closest competitor only had a few dozen reviews.

Thanks to 4000 Chinese workers making $2 a day to boost reviews on amazon to push shitty products to the top of the category.

Y'all keep defending amazon and I'll accept your apologies when amazon announces an overhaul to their review system before the end 2014.

Eta I'll self ban if amazon doesn't announce a major redo of this feature.

No it's legitimate purchasers pushing no name products to top of each amazon category.
