Seriously, what's the difference between Jets fans and Giants fans?

Watching the draft I see plenty of Jets fans in the crowd.
Are Giants fans considered elitist, and Jets working-class?

I never get why a New Yorker would pick the Jets or Mets unless you live next door to the stadium. Life must suck.

definitely an element of that, The Giants are traditionally Manhattan and Brooklyn's team. Whereas Queens and working class Long Islanders are Jets fans.
This is a huge oversimplification obviously but thats roughly how it lines up.

People who had been baseball Giants or Dodgers fans adopted the Mets (as did Queens). The Jets were based on Long Island for years and played in Shea so they siphoned off those areas.

The Jets have a lot of Jewish fans, there was a problem a few years back when a home game fell on a Jewish holiday.
