I skipped the Wii but I'll be damned if I have not had the itch to play some Mario for some reason.

I've thought about picking one up too. Just because Nintendo doesn't give a single frick about you Homebrewing their systems. I had like 100 games on an external HDD for my wife's wii. It was a lot of fun customizing it. It was a full blown media center when I got done with it.

Word just came out that Nintendo isn't taking a loss on Wii U consoles anymore, so you can probably expect another price drop this summer.
I think the system is going to end up having 3ds type success. Way too pricey at first, but kills sales once the price hits a decent point.

The new Mario games are fun but I'd get WindWaker HD, pre-order Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros.

Exactly. Nintendo may stop making a console at some point and just focus on making games. They need to stop worrying about games like Call of Duty or Watch Dogs.

Was the best homebrew system next to Xbox.

NES Remix 1 & 2 are worth owning but both are super easy, same can be said of Mario 3d and Mario Land, super easy material across the board honestly.

Well, that's unfortunate. Yep, it looks like the only way to do it is to add HBC to it in Wii mode. Should be fun to try still.
