Seems like most people that drool over Long and his actions disagree with the same things going on right now.

Same could be said about Edwin Edwards and there are a lot of idiots in LA that would LOVE to vote the human garbage back in to office.

I love Louisiana, but when it comes to politics Louisianians are dumb, gullible, and willing to accept corruption if they think it benefits them.

He was a man of his time. He figured out how to break the Planter/NOLA Old Regular oligarchy that had a stranglehold on the state. His methods may have been questionable, but change was needed, and he provided that change. When he took office there was less than 100 miles of paved highway in the state. Think about that for a minute.

When John Parker took office, there was less than 100. He put up over 300..Long then put up over 3000
