West Monroe at No. 1. You forget about guys like Mark Snyder, though.. Buga coming in for St. Aug makes them probably the strongest team on the list. Oh and :inbeforethanksCurtis:

1-13 rankings

Yep.

And what ever happened to Shomari Clemons? I know he went to Texas Southern... anybody know how he did there?

And, at the bottom it has the honorable mention schools... Wasnt Lavar Edwards at a diff high school, then Katrina hit and he enrolled at Desire St Academy? Or something like that?

Benton was a Bastrop native. I believe you and Lester are thinking of Randall Mackey.

This kid was supposed to be a major QB target for LSU during his sophomore and junior years. I guess he just stopped growing, as did LSU's interest.

Moving forward St Aug and U-High need to be our big time feeder schools IMO

Well the thing about saying this school needs to be a feeder, is that most schools are up and down when it comes to having big time LSU talent. Especially private schools, except St Aug. And that's primarily because of their location and appeal. St Aug has had over 35 NFL players since 1964. That's amazing. That's more that some colleges.

UHigh finally has a nice crop of big time talent there.

But, the schools that have always consistently had big time LSU type talent are St Aug, Breaux Bridge, Hahnville, Destrehan, John Ehret, Acadiana, Curtis, West Monroe, etc.

Its typically the River parishes, Cajun areas, West Monroe, and New Orleans. If we do well recruiting those areas, we will always be fine.

Mackey is playing in the Italian league. I didn't know they had a league either before he signed.

I doubt LSU would have pressed for him regardless since he was 5'9-5'10. Those Bastrop teams were stacked for a few years, though.

Was Mackey one of the kids that came up to Bastrop after the hurricane?
