I have a Yam 250 SHO on mine... Just hit 60hrs. Getting its sched maint done as we speak. Its never sniffed ethanol

Have seen a couple, they look like they arent set up for trolling motors, which is a must for me

Only pic I can find doesn't show them well...they are actually stored in one of our compartments(out of the way) never used them on this boat but our old one all we had to do was unroll them and zip closed. Windshield and sides are always on which is great during the winter

This will simply turn into everyone saying to get the same type boat that they currently own.

Like I said there are plenty of good boat brands out there.

What you need to establish is exactly what kind of boating/fishing will you be using the boat for most of the time. Will you be fishing inland marshes or open water more often. Will you be doing much pleasure riding? Do you want something heavier and slower that handles tough water better or something that's fast and fuel efficient.

Answer these questions and you can start narrowing the field significantly.

will fish lake p a lot, will do some marsh fishing and will ride the Tchefuncte a lot just cruisin...

My dad has a 2008 24' with a trolling motor, hell I've never seen 1 w/o

hmm, I must be lookin in the wrong place, all the bay bolts I have seen havent had one. Also read somewhere that they weren't wired for it, but I'm sure it can be done easily.

Buy used. Find the boat you want with all the electronic already on it. Rigging out a new boat is not cheap at all!
