They'll likely have to go after some assistant. This is pretty late in the game to make some search for a more notable type of candidate for the job.

Just scanned Oregon State's statistics from the past 6 years and can't find any games where they had to resort to a 6'1' walk on center in conference play.
Trent Johnson has had more scholarship players miss games in the past 2 seasons than any other coach, and its not even close
Robinson couldn't hack it with a full and healthy roster.
