Remodeling my first house: brushed nickle or bronze

Seems to me all new houses I go into have bronze fixtures and finishes. Is that the new style these days? I had thought nickle was more timeless where as that bronze might go out of "style"

I happen to like the rubbed bronze look better, but I think the brushed nickel is the later of the two....

Bronze is the style now. Brushed nickel may hold style longer. Who knows. Chicks

I'm more of a fan of the bronze, but I don't really know or care what's in style or not.

Get what you like & stop trying to keep up with trends.

you don't have to have the same style throughout the house. you also don't have to worry about home depot trends. make it your own.

re-doing my house in nickle.
liked it and felt it had the least chance of going out of vogue

Go with what's not unpopular always. Don't go with what is popular now.

I'm up to date on what interior designers and well off ppl put in their homes and bronze isn't in them.

Bronze is over. Polished nickle or antiqued brass depending on the age of the home.

Couldn't tell you what is in fashion or not, but oil rubbed bronze is more expensive than brushed nickel. At least it was 4 years ago.

Personally I only like the brushed nickel if you are going with true white toilet/sinks. I preferred the oil rubber bronze for kitchen sinks and bone/biscuit colored toilets/sinks. But hell who am I to know.

When you say "bronze", are we talking about oil rubbed bronze?

My house has all antique brass, and it is a huge PITA finding stuff that matches when something breaks. I think brushed nickel just looks like stuff in cheap houses, so I haven't ever considered it. I lost a cap for a door pin and had to get one custom made to match($85)
It really all depends on the style of your house
