We have to win the next two series to insure that, IMO. Can we do this with the current play? I say no at this time.

We are on the bubble of hosting a regional at best. Definitely not a lock.

If the NCAAs started today you'd be hosting. It's far from a "lock" though. As for a super regional, you probably need to sweep both of the final two series to have a shot.

Well we now know who hcb's secret identity is.

#LSU drops to 17 in RPI. If the season ended today, I'm not sure if they're hosting. Good news is, the season doesn't end today.

I say that not only because of RPI but because of record v. Top RPI 50 (11-10), strength of sched (42) & currently 3rd in West. #LSU

Top RPI 50 (11-10),

Didn't realize yall were that average against the top 50. HCB might be right. Alabama is 14-11 against the top 50 (assuming UF holds on today). Our hopes of hosting will be done after next weekend though, we've been playing pretty bad baseball for 4-5 weeks and we'll drop at least two next weekend.

so if the season finished today regional hosts would be what?

I would say

Florida
Ole Miss
South Carolina? (they are falling apart and may lose it as well)
Vanderbilt
LSU?
Alabama?

it would be a toss up if it finished today. If we beat bama 2 out of 3 and beat Auburn 2 out of 3 that should put us at the top ahead of Alabama, so as long as USCe or Vanderbilt lose some games we will get it.

Florida is a lock. Ole Miss is pretty close. South Carolina will probably end up OK as they continue to get healthy. RPI is still very good. Vandy and the winner of the LSU/Alabama series will still be in contention. LSU will still be in good shape if they win next week.
