What is the deal with these Ranger type things? They claim to be made by Yamaha and cost less than half of a Polaris Rangers? Anybody on here have any experience with them? I know they are made in China in a factory owned by Yamaha and some Chinese Company.

I would steer clear, thats a lot of money to be trying something out.
It looks like Yamaha purchased 21% of the Chinese company "Linhai".
You can get a new Ranger mid-size 500 for like 7k...

My guess its a knockoff and made in the same factory. You can also probably only order a 40 ft container full and direct ship to your location which will keep the cost down.
I have seen several boats from china in a similar fashion, but they bought new good engines and slapped them on the Chinese hull.

At only 400ccs I'm sure it's a turd. Stick to what you know is solid would be my advice.

They are more than that. I got a pretty good deal on mine at a little over 9k.
