Do you get a paid lunch break?

I work for a publicly traded company and have a salary plus bonuses. My role recently shifted into more customer support. We trouble shoot problems and other things and do sales over the phone. Before I never worried about my schedule. Now they have us covering a phone that sends us in coming calls. The schedule has us working 8 hour days and they do not count our hour for lunch now. I have to work from 8 til 5. With an hour off for lunch. I was just wondering if any of you have an hour off for lunch like I used to?

I honestly have no idea how long I have for lunch.

Yep, I'm paid for the 12hrs I'm here, whether there is time for a lunch or not.

Hour and a half lunch break, all paid.

I make my own hours. Lately, I've been going to the movies around lunch time on Fridays to see the opening blockbusters.
Very nice.
Go to gym around 11 AM and lunch afterwards.

On another edition of Pointless Questions from Rebeloke, we dive into whether not posters have paid lunch hours.

I'm on salary so I guess I do. Rather than leave at 5 I usually eat lunch at my desk and just leave around 3 and go workout at the fitness center we have on-site and head home around 430

I work until I get the job done and it doesn't matter how long I work or if I work at all. As long as the job gets done. If I want to take 3 hours for lunch and I get the job done, then that is fine. I tell people when I want to come in and when I want to leave. If I need to take off a day, I do it. But, I often work weekends and am working at 2am if the job needs to get done.
Lots of people have jobs like that now. You eat when you are hungry and you get paid for the work you do, not for the hours you punch.
But, I used to have jobs where I punched a clock and I always had a paid lunch. It was just factored in. Had a half hour during the week and an hour on Fridays if I wanted to leave the building.

When I worked as a nurse I got a lunch break about 2 out of 10 shifts, they were not paid and we weren't paid when we worked during lunch. So glad to be retired and on my own time.

For some posters here, like Goldenbadger08 and others in the morning and lunch threads, that appears to be all day.

Life is pretty much pointless if you look at it that way...

No, I only get 30 minutes for lunch. Not paid, and I cannot leave the hospital.
