Did anyone else just think it was so........boring?

The crowd did not sound into it at all, and most of the people around me were barely paying attention.

Tab Benoit killed it though.

They probably only knew his hits and were hoping he would play Layla for two hours

Aside from the setlist being meh, sans his Domino's songs, I really enjoyed the show.
I was front and center about 30 rows from the stage fwiw.

Clapton was awesome. I am glad I finally got to see him and was not disappointed at all.

How far back were you? It was great where I was at but apparently there were some sound issues further back.

It was a good show. Who cares what he's singing. Just listen to him play the guitar. He played enough hits.

Clapton does seem to like to get by doing the minimum at shows. Like he likes playing for people but he's kind of bored by it. People say his show at the arena sucked and was boring a couple of years ago.

Yeah I wouldn't say i was "close" by any means, but I wasn't by the port o potties either. The sound was okay where we were, it just wasn't a very exciting show in my eyes.

I thought his arena show was pretty good. It is hard to get energized when you get bitched at for standing up during songs not named cocaine or layla

The one a few years ago did suck. The one last year was good. The key is whether or not there's another guitarist. If there isn't, it's pretty pedestrian.
