Looking for a high school graduation gift. I'm leaning towards a large rolling duffel bag as opposed to standard luggage. Am I on the right path? Suggestions?

Don't go cheap. Victorinox, Tumi Alpha II or Briggs and Riley.

Big patagonia rolling luggage bag. Love mine and perfect for a college kid… I take it on airplanes, camping, music festivals, football road trips etc
And patagonia is FaF so if you're buying for a guy they'll like it.
That's a very practical gift by the way so ignore the haters.

I got a NIKE bag 19 years ago as a graduation gift. I still use it to this day. It was probably one of the best gifts I ever received as far as getting the most use out of it.

Honestly, I think that is a pretty good idea. for someone graduating from college, I would recommend a rolling carry-on bag and a decent hanging bag...
for someone going into college things would be a little different, though...for that, you need something that you can load a couple of weeks worth of dirty clothes into when you go home. sounds like a large duffel bag would fit the bill...
