From Reed Timmer:
quote:
I would not be surprised if this Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will be the most significant multi-day tornado outbreak in the U.S. since 2011. Saturday and Sunday will be focused from KS/NE south to TX, and a large part of the central/Lower MS River Valley eastward on Monday. Stay tuned, as this could be a very dangerous storm system for most of the southern U.S. east of the Rockies.
quote:
Meanwhile, there also could be isolated tornadoes with supercells in W OK/NW TX/eastern TX Panhandle to as far north as W KS late this afternoon and evening. Dominators are heading west on I-40, and will be streaming live this afternoon at LINK

As it stands it's looking like Monday's threat will be more substantial for a widespread outbreak than Saturday or Sunday. Monday's threat will be more across dixie alley. The analogs for saturday and sunday contain almost every big outbreak over the past 25 years, im interested to see what the analogs for Monday will be.

The models have been thrashing around with this setup. There looks to be a good chance that Sunday and Monday could be driven by ongoing morning convection and how that impacts the warm sector. Things look messy at this point but any of those days could go off.

They also contain a lot of setups that didn't produce. I know a lot of people like using analogs but they really don't seem that useful, more just interesting to look at.

they have been uncertain for sure, but Monday looks to be more certain than the other two.

obviously, but it gives another product to look at, and the presence of such events means something.

Meh. As long as NOLA doesn't get any rain this weekend, I'm fine.
