wife in final top 4 sweepstakes also offered 4 free plane tix from wyndham

My wife entered to win an infinity at the mall of La. They called a month ago saying she was in the final 4. They also offered us 4 airfare tix, if we listen to a presentation that "doesn't sell anything". The thing is in NOLA at a Whyndam and she said she would give us a 100$ meal pass to come. My wife will not ask about real details, but I might call the lady and press her for the truth
What is the real deal?
Is this about time shares? We went to something similar when we were still teenagers, A cookware sells pitch for airfare, we didn't buy anything and they were soooooo pissed.

It sounds like a sales tactic and I doubt she really is in the final 4 but it would suck if you didn't go and missed out. What is the name of the company, the OT can google it for you.
