Whats the best deal you ever got on a gun?

besides inheriting it...was it at a garage sale, pawn shop? Whats your story?

He wanted to sell it for about 200 cheaper and I told him no.
I traded for a 1st gen Glock 17 during the Clinton high capacity ban. I gave the guy a Mossberg mariner that I bought for $400. I got the glock and 4 high capacity mags.
A few weeks later traded the Glock for a Beretta 686 o/u.

Just won a Springfield XD 40 from a raffle. Paid $50 for the ticket.

between me and my dad, over the past 5 years. I would say we have won between 12-15 guns at the nwtf banquet. One year alone we walked out with 5 guns we won. Always extremely lucky at that banquet. The best one was the gun of the year a few years ago, weatherby 300 ultra mag. Super nice gun with gold nwtf engravings and all, beautiful walnut stock. We have won some dam nice ones, also a super vinci that is nice.. neither of those have been fired. Just put in safe

I once got a hi point 9 for a box of rubbers and a pair of strike king sunglasses still have that gun

Never really got a deal. I dont really buy a whole lot.
However, my FIL had a Colt Python he got handed down when his father died. They had me sell it and a few years ago the value was about $1200. I ddint have the cash to give them a fair price, but found a buyer and sold.
Tried to track down the buyer, but he sold it. I wanted to buy it back. Damn fine revolver, whoever owns it now has a piece of awesomeness.

i got this cz 85 combat with trigger job and competition hammer including 3 magazines for $500 from the LGS.factory hammer was in the case as well
