Who here goes through the never ending battle over the thermostat. I'm in a constant struggle with my colleagues who like to keep the office a few degrees warmer than the south pole.

To the men and women who put their lives on the line each day to keep the office at a comfortable temperature

You should wear more cologne and sweet talk those secretaries...

just put on a jacket if you're cold. If you make it too hot for them, then you well have to smell their BO

VAV system, my office is set independent of other people's offices. For the win.

If you're cold put on some more clothes. An office should always err on the cold side. That's the reason my secretary sits with a heater at her feet in July.

I'll wear a jacked some days, im fine with that, but not everyday especially in the summer. 90% of the office likes it warm. They should layer down imo

It's kinda tough to layer down at work. Can't pull them tits out due to it being too hot...

My office blows cold air whether it's 20 deg or 95 outside... sometimes hard enough to blow paper off the desk.

I taped the vents closed with clear packing tape. Problem solved.

This is almost as bad as the people who set it to 85ish when it's cold outside.

I have a fan in my office for when it gets too warm, and if it's too cold I have a space heater for the winter time or I open the window. I'm the only guy on my end of the building...no chance I'm fighting a bunch of mid 40's - 50+ women over the thermostat.

I'm always freezing at work because everyone here is really fat and gets hot easily. Im the smallest guy here by at least 100 lbs.

My office goes through extremes, and it is centrally controlled. If it's looking like it's hot outside then they crank the cold way too far up, and it becomes arctic in the building. If it's cold outside then they turn it into a sauna. Whoever controls the thermostat really needs to learn some moderation.

At my last office, most of the women sincerely believe setting the thermostat lower actually makes the air coming out of the ducts instantly blow cooler.

Ex: put thermostat on 55, it will blow out 55 degree air.

My classroom is as cold as possible. Kids complain all year but I am not going to be hot in my room.

All rooms should be colder than most like due to constant movement and outside doors being opened.

Exactly.

Why is it so hard for people to understand this?

Then don't wear it, but keep it handy in case it's too cold in the office...
