More like Silver told him how it was going to be and Emmert avoided pissing all over himself.

Meh.

I think college b-ball was fine when they had the straight-to-NBA deal personally. None of the short timers were in school so you had a roster full of guys committed to college b-ball.

But it has not been collectively bargained, so means nothing.

Great for the college game. Great for the pro game.

A kid in college can have the opportunity to be one year closer to a degree, all while having another year to develop his game for the next level.

They need to make it like the MLB draft where kids can choose. Go to college for a set period of time or go pro out of high school.

I'm not sure what the NCAA has to do with this decision at all? It's pretty much up to the NBA to decide when they are going to accept players, right?

Undrafted players aren't members of the union so draft changes don't need to be collectively bargained. And if this is a reference to college unions, well, they don't negotiate with the NBA who is not their employer.

Actually, this doesn't benefit the blue bloods as much as it benefits the second tier powers... like LSU. Programs in major conferences used to be able to get a few All Americans by selling playing time. Now Kentucky and Duke can sell titles, tradition, and immediate PT. This doesn't end the issue, but this allows second tier teams from major conferences to compete for top talent again.
