Anyone else closer to their father in law than actual dad?

My dad is a good guy and provided a good living but he's kind of aloof and add that they live in Austin we aren't super close. My FIL is like my best friend. Gives me good advice, goes guy shopping with me (tv or new car) and today we had a great golf game.

I was very close to my father before he passed away. I also get along with my FIL currently.

I'm close with both my dad and FIL. I work every day with my dad and fish 2+ days a week wit my FIL

FIL is a good guy and lives only about a mile from me, dad lives about 40 minutes away. I see FIL way more and he is cool as shite but still closer to dad although I prob only see him 7-8 times a year but we both work a lot and I got 4 kids. Plus, maybe I just suck

My FIL is dead and I never met him. He was pretty much worthless from what I understand.
Not really close to my dad. We talk maybe once or twice a year.
I consider my boss as a mentor and a friend, so, I'm closer to him than either my Dad or FIL

Real dad has been in a box underground since 1989. No worries, he was dead before we did all that. He was a good dude.
Father-in-law is kind of a dyke, so no handies for him. He's not too far away from the process we did for old dead dad. We'll use a different box and bury it in a different hole. Then it will be my turn. That's just the way it is....

Although he has some quirky ways, Im pretty close to my Father In Law. He does a hell of a lot for my family. My dad passed 4 years ago but when he was living we were very close.
