My FIL is a good man but my dad has always been great and always my best friend

I've got the best father a man could ask for and the best father in law a man could ask for. My dad put me here on earth and is my crutch whenever it is needed. My FIL is cool as shite, but truly only cares that I take care of his daughter and give her the best of everything there is to offer. I will never fill his shoes, but my father tells me every time we talk how proud he is of me.

All I can say is salut! This is how it's supposed to be. Unfortunately I'm probably going to described not so fondly. I'm the guy who tried for years and paid the bills for people that I wished I knew better, that don't feel the same way.

Same here except with mother-in-law.

It's never too late to turn things around

I hope I'll be close to whoever my father in law will be. Lost my father when I was younger, and grew up in a house with 2 sisters and my mom. Some male camaraderie would be nice.
