How is Calcasieu point landing on big lake?

I usually put in a Herbert's marina. I want to try a different area like Calcasieu point landing but I've heard it is under construction and a pain in the arse. Is it still under construction?

Caught a few in west cove today on the north and south ends on oyster beds. We made it out late though and someone was camped in our spot both times we passed. Had shite to do this afternoon so we didn't have time to make it into the lake.

Calcasieu point is nice. I don't think it has been under construction for a while now, but I could be wrong.

Place is fine as shite, had a tourney out of there a few weeks ago. I was very impressed. As long as you're fishing the north end, it's a long ride south from there.

They were just expanding the pier I think. We picked up shrimp over there and the launch was still open. Been a few months ago i guess

Figured that... I'll be at the Delacroix one. Decided to only fish a couple LASS events last and this year, moved over to IFA.
As for the original OP's question, nothing additional to add, but I agree with the others, they have a very nice set-up, one of the better ones you'll visit.

I talked with B.O. And sent a message to C.D. A week ago or so. Was going to try and have yall down the weekend after memorial day. I'll message you about it in the next week or 2 when my schedule at work is finalized.

That's pretty much the only weekend of the summer that I have plans
