What is the proper NaCL(aq) concentration to brine my bugs before boil and how long do I keep them in the solution. Let's say for 120qt igloo with 38lbs sack.

Per each sack or crayfish. I jar Richard's Roux, 2.5 boxes Mortans rock salt, 3 large strawberries. Soak overnight...

There's nothing you can do to a crayfish to make it good. Those northern bugs don't have any soul.

Also, soaking them in saltwater doesn't purge them. You purge them by keeping them alive and wet and clean and unfed for a day before you boil them.

You're lucky it's a holiday for most on the ob, you would be getting reamed on a regular day

What he said. Just clean em real good. Salt soaking is a myth that has been busted. Does nothing.

The key is lots of salt, the more the better. Butter at the end of the boil and then shake the seasoning all over the crawfish when you dump them into the icechest

I prefer to use the NaCl (G). I usually keep them in the solution for at least 24 hours, completely submerged. The lid needs to be tight on the ice chest, so I recommend a yeti for the best absorption.
